Bilingual Project
From the age of 3, students study with the bilingual program of the University of Oxford, voted the best university in the world for the 8th consecutive year!
The Bright Futures program is the most complete and appropriate to the country’s reality, as it takes into account all the guidelines for multilingual education set out in the National Education Council’s guidelines for regulation of the program by MEC.
With five weekly lessons, three of which are aimed at teaching the language in all its skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing), plus a science lesson and an art lesson, which will not replace the lessons already included in the Brazilian curriculum.
The program’s classes are connected to the content that students learn in school subjects, focusing on the linguistic structures necessary for children and young people to speak English during classes, in addition to extended projects through manipulative approaches related to the students’ reality.
Students have access to a complete learning kit, which includes materials for learning the language and content for carrying out projects, as well as books and an interactive platform.
It is important to emphasize that this is not about using the Oxford book to teach English. The partnership aims at bilingual teaching with exclusive support for the teaching staff through various training courses, regular meetings, and an extension course with a certificate issued by the University of Oxford.
All students, from the 3rd year of Elementary School onwards, take the Placement Test annually, in order to guarantee the performance acquired, with certification at the end of the 9th year of Middle School.
The ASTROMAKER® International program, an educational robotics program, stimulates critical thinking and awakens students’ innovative potential through the development of important skills and competencies, in addition to offering quality technological education, and all in English.
Guided by active methodologies such as STEAM, maker culture and creative learning, the ASTROMAKER® program engages students in a practical and interactive way. These methodologies encourage exploration, real world problem-solving, and promoting meaningful learning.
ASTROMAKER® international presence also reinforces a principle common to Colégio Montreal Bilíngue, the constant search for quality and improvement in its innovative and intercultural approach, inspiring and empowering students.
As a continuation of the Bilingual Program, from the 6th grade onwards, students can attend Middle School classes in partnership with Texas Tech University.
The Middle School program integrates students from the 6th to 8th grades into the American model education, by immersing them in the English language, in an extracurricular period and taking the same subjects that an American student takes in the United States, through theoretical and practical activities.
Most importantly, Middle School students don’t need to take the proficiency test afterwards to enter High School, as they already have direct admission to the Texas Tech University High School Program.
From the 9th grade onwards, students can opt for the Duo Diploma Program, also run by Texas Tech University, which allows students to earn a second diploma with the same curriculum as American students.
Throughout High School, students will attend 7 classes a week, also during the extracurricular period, with the subjects that make up the American curriculum, being evaluated with activities, productions and tests, by teachers located in Texas (Lessons Assignments).
The diploma is issued by Texas Tech University, also under the same conditions as American students.
